Terms of Service

Please read these terms carefully. By commissioning Gato Kaiju Creations, you agree to all terms cited below.

By commissioning, you are stating that you're 18 years old.
I do NOT work with minors, no exceptions.

I work from home and my household has two cats. While they do not have any contact with my materials, be aware that it is not 100% guaranteed that the finished suits will be free from allergens.

My work is exclusively on demand. I do not make separate handpaws, tails or feetpaws to sell.

Refusal of Service:

I reserve the right to deny any service to customers who are rude, threatening or unreasonable, such as those who lack basic etiquette and decorum when contacting me. Remember this is a professional exchange, so it is expected that you act accordingly as I will do everything to maintain a professional atmosphere between artist and commissioner.I also reserve the right to blacklist commissioners for any reason, meaning contact will be barred from all of my social media accounts and communication methods.

Payment:

Payment is done exclusively through PayPal.Commissions below $3000 will require a 50% down payment and quotes above that will require a 30% down payment.Down payments are non-refundable. They're required for me to secure a slot for you in my queue and to acquire the needed materials, since every commission is made on demand.After the down payment is received, I will order your materials and begin your commission as detailed in the "Commission Process" section below.Upfront payment is preferred but payment plans are accepted.Full payment must be completed within 3-4 months.Final product will only be shipped once it is paid in full.

How to Commission me:

Commission status will be updated on this website and on all my social media accounts. Once commissions are open, you'll have access to a commission form linked on my pricings page. Commissions are NOT first come first serve, so take your time when filling your information!I will review the filled form and get back to you via e-mail with a final quote. After discussing payment options, you'll receive an invoice with the first payment require to secure your slot and get the fursuit making process started!

Commission Process:

During the headbase creation process, I will order swatches of the fur fabrics that we've discussed about to make sure the colors are matched as well as possible.In the meantime, as it takes the swatches around 1 month to get to me, I will begin working on your headbase. I'll do a clay sculpture of your character and pattern/scale it so I have a full sized base according to your head measurements. I currently work exclusively with eva foam and cosplay foam clay for my headbases.Contact is done through e-mail or instagram DMs.You will receive updates whenever there is progress made on your commission. Keep in mind I have other things to do outside of fursuit making, so it could take me some time between updates.My trello will be available publicly, so while you can contact me anytime for updates, you can also check my queue page to keep track of your commission's progress!

Shipping:

Shipping is made from Paraíba, Brazil and is calculated at the end of the commission process.Commissioner is responsible for shipping expenses and any applied customs fees when the package arrives at the destination country.Tracking will be provided both from the mail service as well as a hidden air tag inside the fursuit's head.Once the package has been shipped, I do not take responsibility for anything that happens to it. This includes damages to the package, mishandling from mail services and/or the package being stolen.

Cancellations and Refunds:

As stated before, down payments are non-refundable. The remaining value of the commission can be refunded only in certain circumstances and at the maker's pace. I work exclusively with art, so refunds may take time.Once work has started, no refunds shall be given. If a commission is cancelled during the making progress, the work that has been completed will be shipped at the commissioner's expense or altered and resold as a premade.

Repairs:

Be aware that fursuits can wear over time depending on how they're cared for. Repairs are made upon request and shipping expenses are the commissioner's responsibility. They will be charged according to the level of damage, but I reserve the right to deny this service if it's been damaged beyond repair.Commissioners are encouraged to pick up basic sewing skills to maintain a lengthy life for your fursuit!

I Will NOT Work With:

Deadlines and ETA:

I currently do not work with deadlines, but commissions might take up to 4-6 months to be completed depending on the complexity of the project. If you have an intended convention for your project, consider another maker as I have no control over possible material shortage and/or shipping times.

Reference Sheet:

You'll be required to provide an UNSHADED reference sheet of your character. Front/back view is required, but a reference that has front/side/back views is preferred.Be aware that I will adapt your character to fit my style, so subtle changes in design might happen during that process.I also do not work with airbrushes, so gradients will have to be simplified or heavily altered for the design to be doable.

Material Sourcing and Color Matching:

Please be aware that high quality materials could experience shortages by the time the down payment has been made. Since it is not possible for me to keep fur stocked, all commissions are made on demand, and thus, it could take some time for the required materials to come back in stock.Be aware that there's a limited quantity of colors available for faux fur fabrics. While there is a rigorous planning process when sourcing materials, some colors might appear slightly different than their digital counterparts.

Media Usage:

While characters belong to their respective commissioners, I reserve the right to use any photos/videos taken of the products for promotional purposes.

Measurements:

Commissioner will be asked for measurements on their head and face during the commission process. If the commission has handpaws and/or feetpaws, measurements on their wrist and shoe size will be asked respectively.Sending measurements in centimeters instead of inches is deeply appreciated!
